Sixmilebridge took on the reigning county champions in soft wet conditions on Saturday. Inagh started the better with a point from a free in the first minute. The 'Bridge atempt at counteracting shot wide. Inagh added a second before Morey pointed from play. Inagh returned with two more before Morey added her second from a free. It was tit for tat between the teams points over and back. Substitute Slaine Carey found target in the Inagh net, but Inagh returned the favour at the opposite end. From here they added three more points one from a 45. At half time Inagh/Kilnamona led on a scoreline of 1-9 to 1-3.
In the second half the 'Bridge started better, Morey pointing in the opening minutes. Inagh then added their first from a 45. Morey converted a free at the opposite end before Carroll went on to rattle the Inagh net. Morey added another point from a placed ball to bring it to a one point game. Inagh went under attack on the 'Bridge defence managing a goal. Inaghmona converted a point before they secured a second goal. Morey pointed from a free before the final whistle. Despite a good team effort from the 'Bridge Inagh/Kilnamona go unbeaten so far in this championship.
