Our Junior B1s started their championship campaign on Sunday in Shannon with a wn against Doora Barefield.

Having had a bye in Round 1, the Junior B1s were more than ready to hit the ground running when their 1st game came round. Barefiled came into the tie after a 1st Round draw with Corofin.

At half time, despite having the share of the play, 3 Doora Barfeiled goals kept them right in contention at Smb 1-14 v Doora Barfeiled 3-4. The Bride goal coming from Neil Forde, a  brace of points from Conor Gilligan and Neil Forde, a single point for Dylan Keogh and the remaining 6 points from Cillian Murphy including 3 from play. 

The Bridge were able to add a couple of further goals themselves in the second half but Barefiled also added a couple. The Bridge goals camne from Forde again and a penalty from Cillian Murphy. The Bridge held out in the end for a 6 point victory which was the ultimate aim, and bagged the points on offer for the game. On the day Evan O'Callaghan, Michael Carey, Cillian Murphy and Neil Forde hurled well. Next up in ac ouple of weeks for this team is Corofin who have a couple of games played and are unbeaten.
