Junior Championship, Rd. 2/4
Sixmilebridge 2-9
Killanena 0-17
Venue - Bodyke
Referee - Robert Harte
The Bridge had a great start to this 2nd round championship fixture hitting the first couple of points without reply from Podge Flannery and Conor Maxwell and then hitting the back of the net shortly afterwards through Danny Scullion to lead 1-2 to 0-1 after 10 minutes. Killanena however hit their purple patch for the remainder of the half and at half time they lead 0-12 to 1-5, the Bridge having added scores from 2 Ben O'Connel frees and a Jack McCloskey point.

The Bridge added a goal from Podge Flannery in the second half and even thogh Killanena kept their scores ticking over, the Bridge were within touching distance and had a very strong finish which saw a Ben O'Connell '21 yard free saved and a goalmouth scramble where the Bridge nearly got ball across the line, any of which could have won the game for the Bridge. Ben O' Connell added 3 frees and Brian Casey added another point to the scoreline in this half to see Killanena eventually win out by 2 points on a score line of 0-17 to 2-9.

Good for the Bridge on the day were Oisin Casey, Dylan Dunne & Brian Glynn at center back, Sam Edbrooke in goals, Jack Phelan at midfield and at the back when moved and Podge Flannery and Danny Scullion up front.
The Bridge travel to Kilmaley next Saturday to take on Kilkee Bealaha in Round. 3
