Our U15A Hurlers went down to an impressive Ballyea on Monday evening in the County Final. Playing with the elements in the first half Ballyea raced into a 10 point lead on 15 minutes as they blitzed the Bridge who were slow out of the starting blocks.
The Bridge boys did finish the half the stronger adding 4 points to match Ballyeas 4 and leave the score at the short whistle 0-14 to 0-04.

The Bridge boys came out with a new lease of life in the second half and reduced the deficit to 7 points early on but Ballyea matched us score for score and coming down the home straight they scored a penalty to ensure their win. The second half saw both sides score 1-08 each but the half time lead of 10 points remained the difference in the end.

While our boys were chasing the game from the start there is great admiration in that they truly never gave up until the final whistle and while the result is hard to take right now it will stand to them as they continue in their development as hurlers in the Saffron and Blue of the Bridge.
Thanks to all the coaches and players who put in a massive effort this year - Some boys will not start preparing for the U16 and U14 Championships later this summer and some boys will have the Munster rU15 Super 10s to look forward to in September.
