On a very warm and sunny Friday evening, 10 July 2026, we welcomed Newmarket on Fergus to Cappaghlodge for our first match in this Academy series.
A sincere thank you to our U14A players (management) who were extremely supportive and helpful to their teammates before, during, and after the match.
It was an enjoyable and competitive game, with Sixmilebridge trailing by just one point at half-time. Newmarket on Fergus extended their lead in the second half. While the final scoreline does not fully reflect Sixmilebridge’s share of possession, and we were unfortunate to miss out on a few scoring opportunities, the girls were excellent—playing with great teamwork and determination throughout.
