Sixmilebridge Camogie Club Enjoy Fantastic Day at Caman Connaught.

On Wednesday July 1st,  Sixmilebridge Camogie Club made the long journey to Pearse Stadium, Galway's main stadium, to compete in the Caman Connaught Camogie Event.

The prestigious event attracted over 50 teams from clubs all over Ireland, providing a fantastic opportunity for young players to experience a day of competitive camogie in a brilliant atmosphere.

A total of 26 girls travelled to represent Sixmilebridge, proudly wearing the club's yellow and blue, with fantastic support from coaches and parents throughout the day.

The squad was split into two teams, with each team competing in a separate group, ensuring every player enjoyed plenty of game time.

One Sixmilebridge team faced Turloughmore (Galway), Brownstown (Westmeath) and Kiltullagh Killimordaly (Galway), while the second team took on Ballina Stephenites (Mayo), Liam Mellows (Galway) and Sylane (Galway).

The girls rose to every challenge, producing six excellent performances against strong opposition from across the country. Throughout the day they displayed tremendous teamwork, determination and skill, with great passing, tackling and scoring, while encouraging one another from the first game to the last.

Most importantly, they had great fun representing Sixmilebridge.
Events like Caman Connaught are about much more than results. They allow players to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy the experience of representing their club on a big stage.

The coaches were delighted with the effort, commitment and positive attitude shown by every one of the 26 girls, while parents created a fantastic atmosphere by supporting the teams throughout the day.

After an action-packed afternoon of camogie, everyone enjoyed a well-earned stop at the Banner Plaza in Ennis, where the girls tucked into some food and enjoyed a few treats before making the journey home to Sixmilebridge.

A huge thank you to the organisers of the Caman Connaught event for hosting such a superb day of camogie.

Thanks a million to Sixmilebridge Camogie Club for sponsoring the food and treats—it was the perfect way to round off a memorable day.

Well done to all 26 Sixmilebridge players.
