Hard luck to our U13A hurlers on Saturday morning as they bowed out of the championship against Kilmaley at Gurteen. A brave performance, saw the Bridge lead by a point at half time, 0-5 to 0-4, but then go down by 10 points in the second half only to bring the game to within 2 points near the end in a massive comeback and then they had a 20m free in the dying seconds to level the match. Unfortunately the free was saved and Kilmaley advanced. A brave effort in the end and the team can be proud of their performance and there was only a puck of a ball between the 2 teams in the end. A good team performance where they just came up short, well done to the boys on a great effort and good luck as they step up to U14 for the remainder of the year. The U13A Academy Final and U13C Academy Semi final will be held next weekend in O'Garney Park on Sunday where both teams will face Kilmaley. Best of luck to both.
