Sixmilebridge 0-14

St. Josephs Doora Barefield 3-12

Venue - Shannon

Referee - Andy McMahon

The 'Bridge started this final round championship group game brightly with Cian McInerney getting the opening point, followed by a free from Alex Frost. Doora Barefield found their feet soonafter however and got in for a goal to take the lead. Gary O'Callaghan with 2, Conor Flynn and Alex Frost all traded points with Doora to keep the difference to the minimum before another Frost free got the score line back to level after 20 mins. Further points from Danny Morey & Peter Gilligan gave the 'Bridge the edge. But Doora put toghether a string of scores getting 1-3 in 5 mins compared to a Frost Free to give them a lead of 2-7 to 10 points going in for  the halftime break.

The 'Bridge came out fighting in the second half with points from Frost & McInerney, but that was as close as they could get as Doora were able to to just enough to keep in front. The 'Bridge threw everything at Doora to try reel them back in, but it wasn't to be and Doora Barefield managed to get a late goal to seal the win and ensure top spot in the table to be straight through to the County semi finals.

The Bridge put the best foot forward with a number of good performances, but with 1 win and 1 draw they finished 4th in the table and just missed out on a quarter final spot.

Well done to the group and those that trained and managed the side over the last few months.
