Sixmilebridge 0-21 Crusheen 2-13

The Bridge faced their bogey team of the last few years at GAA HQ today in wet underfoot conditions but settled well to lead 2 points to 1 before Crusheen got 2 first half goals. Indeed the 2 majors for Crusheen will be a disappointment to the Bridge defence where 1 if not 2 should have been prevented.

The Bridge again relied on Jamie Shanahan from placed balls who along with Cathal Lynch and Seadna Morey both from play made up the Bridge total of 7 points to Crusheens 2-06.

The winners following some straight talking at half time emerged in the second half in a far more determined faship to outscore their opponents by 14 points to 7. The Bridge now qualify for the 1/4 final and have 4 weeks to prepare and hope to get Barry Fitzpatrick and Aidan Quilligan back match fit to provide more options in defence.
