Inagh/Kilnamona 2-22 Sixmilebridge 1-16

Venue: Dr. Daly Park, Tulla. Saturday 20/07/2019

The 2019 semi finals of the Clare Champion Cup 2019 took place yesterday with the Bridge facing Inagh/Kilnamona in perfect conditions in Tulla. The sides met back on 18th March in round one of the cup and the combo ran our 1-16 to 0-14 winners on that occasion. Whilst the Bridge were without big guns Caimin Morey and Shane Golden it was Inagh/Kilnamona who were the sharper throughout and races into a 1-15 to 0-09 half time lead with the goal coming from rising county star Aidan McCarthy.

Some stern words at half time lifter the Bridge and they had their purple patch in the 3rd quarter kickstarted with a Seadna Morey goal from 107 yards to help in reducing the deficit to 3 points. However some squandered passes lead to some soft scores for Inagh/Kilnamona side who were deadly accurate throughout to run out 9 point winners.

The winners now go on to face Kilmaley in next weekends Clare Cup final while the Bridge have 2 weeks to focus on Clarecastle in Round 1 of the 2019 Championship.
