Terence Chaplin to Manage Clare Minor Hurlers in 2021

Clare GAA have appointed Terence Chaplin as manager of the Clare minor hurlers for 2021.

Terence was part of Brian Coffey’s management team this year and will make the step-up following the Banner clubman’s decision to step down after one year in the role. Clare suffered an eight point Munster quarter-final defeat to Cork this year.

Former manager of the Sixmilebridge intermediate hurlers and several successful underage sides in the club, Chaplin was one of prominent members of the management side this year. The Clare Echo understands that at a meeting of the Clare GAA Executive recently that board officials including PRO Michael O’Connor reserved strong praise for Terence.

John O' Meara the former senior manager with the 'Bridge hurlers who won titles in 2013, 2015 and 2017 will also be part of the team as coach as will James Carrigg, former Wolfe Tones and Crusheen manager and Barry Coffey, coach of the Ballyea side that won the 2018 Clare SHC title is to come on board as a coach alongside Alan Duggan who was involved with the three-in-a-row All-Ireland winning Clare U21 teams from 2012 to 2014. Pa McEvoy a former member of the Clare senior hurling backroom team and strength and conditioning coach with the Newmarket-on-Fergus senior hurlers this year is set to be the team’s S&C coach.
