The U13 Championship continued this week with both the A team and Academy team in action.

The A team travelled to Newmarket on Fergus on Wednesday where they proved too strong for the hosts with a scoreline of 10-16 to 2-3. Captained by Rory Chaplin, there were great performances all round with special mentions for Luke Deegan at wingbank and Stephen Gavin in midfield.

The Academy team hosted Ballyea on Saturday morning. Playing with a strong wind, the Bridge boys were ahead at half time with a score of 3-4 to 2-1 but eventually lost on a final score of 4-4 to 6-3. Best performers for the team were Cillian O'Connor at full forward, captain Oisin O'Brien at corner bank and goalkeeper Cian McInerney who made several fine saves.
