HT: SMB 1-14 CC 1-07

Venue: Cusack Park, Ennis

The Bridge got the defence of their County title off to a winning start this evening at Cusack Park with a 16 point over the Clarecastle Magpies. Lining out with 1 new debutant in Christy Carey the Bridge were without their County star and Captain Cathal Malone (hand injury) while the teams most decorated player Seadna Morey only made a cameo appearance for the last 10 minutes following a recovery from injury.

While the team has not been known for scoring goals a more direct approach in taking on the Magpie back at every opportunity saw them raise 3 green flags through Brian Corry, Paidi Fitzparick and Conor Deasy.

The Bridge now meet Wolfe Tones in the next round in the coming weeks.

Round 2 v Wolfe Tones (September 4th/5th)

Round 3 v Scariff (September 18th/19th)
