Another busy weekend for the U13s with the A team hosting Tulla on Friday evening in Round 6 of the A Championship and the Academy team hosting Inagh Kilnamoma in Cappa Lodge on Saturday morning in Round 8 of the Academy Championship.

Captained by Conor Peacock, the A team got back to winning ways with a bright start seeing them go into the waterbreak with a 3-3 to 0-0 lead. Tulla shored up their defence after the restart with scores harder to come by for the Bridge lads. Final score Sixmilebridge 3-10 Tulla 1-02. Best for the Bridge included Cuan McGiollaCearra, Jack O'Halloran and Donal O'Leary. Scorers for Sixmilebridge: Zak Phelan (7 points), Rory Chaplin (1-02), Stephen Gavin (1-01) and Dougie Brew (1 goal).

The Academy team, bouyed up by their win against Clarecastle last week, continued where the left off with a 2-9 to 2-02 win against Inagh Kilnamoma. The victory was built on a solid halfback line of captain Dylan Tobin, Ross Kearney and Darragh Sweeney. Scorers in this game were Charlie Keane (2-1), Conor Keogh (5 points), Cillian O'Connor (2 points), Eoin Murphy and Cathal Ryan (1 point each).

That ends the group stage of the Academy championship with the team now contesting the knockout Shield stage of the competition which will commence in the coming weeks.

The A team still have 3 group games left to play, with their next game on Wednesday 25th August v Eire Og.

The full squad will also be travelling to Oranmore next Saturday for games against the hosts A and Academy teams.
