Sixmilebridge 2-20 Inagh/Kilnamona 1-14

The Bridge and Inagh/Kilnamona faced off for the 3rd time this week in Championship action with the U15s and U13s having already met earlier in the week and today saw the Bridge Intermediates continue their run of success with a 9 point win at Gurteen.

David O'Connor raised a green flag in first half to see the Bridge lead 1-11 to 0-07 at the short whistle. Inagh/Kilnamona had cause for optimism at half time with the elements at their back for the second half but a Sean Lynch goal ensured the Bridge stayed ahead by 2-14 to 1-11 at the second water break.

The introduction of veteran Rory Shanahan added a new dimension to the forwards play for the final quarter and the Bridge tacked on 6 further points to ensure the win.
