After a number of home blitzes in recent weeks our Bridge Bucks U8s and U9s were back on the road last Saturday - The 2013 Boys (U8s) were in the home turf of Clare star Tony Kelly in Ballyea while the 2012 Boys (U9s) were looking to score hat tricks in the home turf of Clare Star Shane O'Donnell at Eire Og.

Reports from the U8s were that this bunch of young boys have improved dramatically over the summer - The coaches are not sure whether its down to the boost of the Cul Camps or ice cream at training or the excitement of going back to school but all in all our ground hurling and rucking and striking has been on an upward spiral in recent games.

All the jabbing under pressure at training is paying off for the U9s with parents also reporting that the boys are constantly counting out their 4 steps whether it be pucking at home or bringing in the washing from the clothes line.

Thanks to all the parents for ensuring the boys are always on time for training and blitzes and always togged out in their full club colours. Please continue to encourage the boys to get out for a few pucks every day working both sides - as we say in the Bridge Bucks ...

Why is it called my lazy side?,

Cause when I hurl it tries to hide,

What can i do to make it better,

Hit 3 to 1 and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
