A vibrant club is an organisation where the off field activities of volunteers match the on field activities of the players and coaches - The Bridge always had this in spades and in recent weeks projects have been ongoing quietly which will have a massive input in the development of our boys and girls.

The Minor club undertook a project of revamping the hurling wall and ball alley with a full power hose, plaster and paint job applied. Rumor has it Alex Morey will be the top fancy for the next Wall ball competition following the Master Plaster job he did on the hurling wall.

While the game of hurling has evolved greatly in recent years we as a club are glad to still have some fine timber merchants on our side - The annual timber auction will be coming around very soon and preparations are underway already with weekly timber cuts happening. Anyone with trees they need moved please get in contact with John Corbett. Also if you have any scrap metal you need collected give John a shout.

The main development project in the club is our indoor arena - The support walls for the boundary of the external outdoor hurling walls were being prepared last week while power is now switched on with the lighting completed and the internal paint job due to commence. The advertising boards and memorial wall are due for completion in the coming weeks before the astro surface will be laid.

Remember it doesn't take an army or a massive commitment of time to get small jobs done - Many hands make light work

Our club lotto is at €14,100 - you can play online here to support our projects as we aim to continue generating a vibrancy that makes our club and community something to be very proud of.
