One of the main highlights for the club in 2021 has been the return of Schools coaching - The boys and girls in Sixmilebridge and Kilmurry schools have been extra good for Santa this year practising their hurling/camogie and fundamental movement skills in the run up to Christmas.

Schools coaching has been extra busy this term with 400 children receiving a minimum of 40 minutes hurling based P.E. each and/or togging out for the school team training in one or more of the 19 weekly time slots. The program being rolled out is an athletic development model that will aid in developing fundamental movement skills, agility, balance coordination as well as rudimentary & locomotive skills with a big emphasis on total inclusion with all kids been catered for with a big emphasis on fun!!

Schools coaches Martin Conlon, Brian Culbert Jimmy Corbett and Eileen Donnellan would like to thank both school principals and staff for their commitment to Gaelic Games this year. A special mention to coaches Fidelma Kearney, Debbie Reddan, Anna O' Doherty, Carmel Peacock, Jimmy Conlon, Flan McInerney, Janet Flynn and Martina Whelan for their assistance. Also to Adrian Chaplin for his donation of sliotars and hurleys to the swap box. Wishing all the boys and girls a Happy Christmas and New Year and to put all the new hurling/camogie gear from Santa to good use working off any excess turkey!

Thanks to Ms. Burke (1st class) for sending on some photos of some recent sessions in the newly refurbished ball wall astro which was another highlight for 2021 - a project undertaken and completed by the minor club. which has proven to be a massive asset to the club.
