Last Saturday saw dreams come true for our U10 boys who got to grace the hallowed turf of Cusack Park at half time in the Senior Hurling Championship Quarter final between the 'Bridge and Wolfe Tones.

Plans were a foot earlier in the week for this game thanks to the Clare County Board initiative and with the help of Kieran Keating (Chairperson) and Deirdre Conlon (Secretary).

The Bridge and Wolfe Tones both fielded 2 teams (9 a side) at half time in what was a frantic 9 minutes of hurling filled with skill, scores and smiles showing all that's good about our great game.

Well done to our boys who all turned up on time, dressed in their full kit and hurled with the heart and determination akin to their Senior counterparts when they enter the coliseum that is Cusack Park.

This was a huge opportunity for the boys and the smiles on their faces after the game said it all - the high fives to their Senior heros coming off the field and their discussions on how many skill scores the likes of Caimin and Barry Fitz were getting for hooks and blocks had them in the Zone for the full duration of the game. Special mention to one of their team mates Matthew Murphy who missed out on the trip to HQ at the last minute due to delays in UL where he was busy winning an All Ireland Medal at the Community Games Swimming - A fantastic achievement. Well done Matthew from all your coaches and team mates.

In other exciting news in today we have confirmation our U9 boys will be playing in Semple Stadium in a tournament in October - Mol an Oige
