A chara,

The GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Associations are offering the opportunity to clubs to win one of four prizes of playing equipment (value €250) for taking part in a study into Gaelic games participation within the teenage age group. This study aims to develop a better understanding of how those under 13 to under 19 players choose to participate in Gaelic games by investigating the motivators and barriers that currently exist.

We have taken a sample of clubs from across all three Associations, and your club has been chosen to take part. Participation is voluntary, but if you do choose to take part, you will provide information to your club coaches, parents, and players within these age groups.

Players will be asked a series of questions about their involvement in Gaelic games, which should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. This information will help us better understand participation in Gaelic games and the results will contribute to the future development of programmes and educational resources available for young players, their parents, coaches, referees, and other support people.

If you would like to contribute to this project, the link for the survey can be found below:

More information regarding this study can be found in the attached file, as well as contact information for any questions or queries. We thank you for your assistance in advance.

Is mise,

Dr. Peadar Ó hArgan/ Dr. Peter Horgan
