Anthony Daly has pulled out of the race to be the next Clare senior hurling manager. He had a team in place which included Brian Lohan and Tommy Dunne of Tipperary.
His withdrawal now leaves the door open for Donal Moloney and Gerry O’Connor to take the reins as joint-managers.
Meanwhile new Wexford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald was the unanimous choice of the six-person committee charged with finding the Model County’s next boss, and has been set a target of achieving promotion from Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League.
We wish Fitzy all the best in hos new role.
