Reigning champions Corofin/Ruan will face Sixmilebridge who got a bye into the quarter-final despite losing to St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield in the opening round.

Fresh from a penalty shootout win over Crusheen/Tubber, the reward for Clarecastle is a last eight encounter with Clonlara.

Both Scarff/Ogonnelloe and Clooney/Quin have been tipped as strong contenders for honours but by the conclusion of the quarter-finals one of them will be eliminated from the competition.

In a game where each outfit will fancy their chances of making the semi-finals, St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield meet Inagh/Kilnamona, the Combo having sealed their place in the quarter-finals by knocking out Newmarket-on-Fergus.
