Following on from the disppointment of losing the 2015 Junior A final to Clonlara manager Alan Whyte set out his stall early this year determined to go one step further. The response from players young and old was very positive and the team are back in the final this Sunday against Bodyke. The game will take place as a curtain raiser to the Senior hurling final between Ballyea and Clonlara.

The Bridge had a good run in the league this year exiting at the semi final stage to Ogonolloe who incidentally were beaten Bodyke on their way to the final. There is a wealth of experience in the Bridge team and they will be hoping that this mixed with the pain of losing last years final will see them over the line. Gerry O'Halloran will line out in goals with Mush Murphy, Adrian Chaplin, Seanie Murray, Robert Conlon and Cathal Walsh expected to fill some of the defensive roles. Up front Stiofan Fitzpatrick, Brian Colbert and Tommy Liddy will be hoping to keep the score board ticking over.

Meanwhile the Junior C team will face The Banner again this Saturday afternoon in Newmarket in a replay of the Junior C championship final. Having lost the 2015 decider to Wolfe Tones who won this years Junior B the Bridge played out a very exciting drawn game a few weeks back in Clonlara. The Bridge looked to have the game won following a late Caimin Barrett goal but the Banner finished strong with a flurry of points to force a replay. The Bridge will be looking for big improvements this Saturday if they are to land the prize - They will be looking to Michael O Halloran, Billy Maxwell, Jim Spaight, The Flannery brothers and Captain Martin Conlon to get them over the line. Indeed it is a busy weekend for Conlon who also trains the Junior A team in Sundays final and Paddy Punch is a member of the Junior C panel and a selector on the Junior A team.
