The Bridge will enter new territory for the Club and for Clare GAA in 2023 as we field 3 teams at U13 Level in the Championship. Based on high participation rates, population growth and one of the largest birth booms in 2010 & 2011 it means in order to ensure all our boys are getting lots of game time the club will have a team in the A championship and 2 teams in the Academy Championship.
Some updates from this weeks Clare Underage meeting.
The start date of the U 13 A, U 13 B & U 13 C, competitions comes, forward 1 week to May 13th.
We had request from Clonlara to change from U 13 Academy A which was agree & then a request from Sixmilebridge to add a second U 13 academy team which was also allowed.
This resulted in the U 13 Academy been redrawn. 16 Teams drawn into 2 groups of 8 and the Academy A & B will be decided after the 7 Rds are played.
The top 2 teams in each group will play cross over semi-finals for U 13 Academy A Cup
Teams 3 & 4 in each group will play cross over semi-finals for U 13 Academy A Shield
Teams 5 & 6 in each group will play cross over semi-finals for U 13 Academy B Cup
Teams 7 & 8 in each group will play cross over semi-finals for U 13 Academy B Shield
