On Saturday the 5th of March, our junior camogie team had their first league game of the year. Their opponents on the day were Wolfe Tones. The weather conditions weren't best suited to camogie, but both teams gave it their best.

After a very hard fought first half, Wolfe Tones went in, leading by 2-5 to 0-1. In the second half, our girls dug deep to out score their opponents 1-2 to 0-2 points.

There was some very good performances from Rebecca Grady in goals, Eimear Murray and Nicole Jones in defence. Our midfield partnership of Lizzy Quinn and Ardia O'Halloran got through some great work in the centre of the field while Niamh Murray was coolness personified on the frees, scoring 3 points on a very wet and windy day. Tina Fitzgerald was drafted in to full forward with 15 minutes to go where she had an immediate effect scoring our only goal. Noelle Bergin was a constant thorn in the Wolfe Tones side throughout the game in the forwards.

Next up for the junior team is Meelick Parteen in sixmilebridge on Saturday the 25th of March. All support will be very welcome, BRIDGE ABÚ.
