The club wish to thank all those who supported our recent Double Score Forecast competition for the Munster Hurling Championship.
For the 2 games patrons were asked to guess the score for:
Clare 3-23 v Tipperary 5-22
Clare 1-24 v Limerick 2-20
There was €300 on offer for the correct score in both games and €150 for correct score in one game.
There was also an interesting side guess as to who would be the first yellow card in each game. The guess was worth €50 if correct!
All teams, Camogie & Hurling from underage to adult participated with an excellent effort put in across the clubs. The funds raised are for the ongoing maintenance and payment of utility bills for the Arena. A fantastic facility to be able to avail of but obviously has to be minded, maintained and have the bills paid.
There was nobody lucky enough to have guessed the score correctly for both games, but Daniel Spaight of the U9 Hurlers and Irene Fleming shared the prize money, for guessing the score correctly in one of the games and get €75 each.
There were a number of people who guessed correctly the first yellow card in both games and the winners of the resulting draw of cards were Mikey Corbett, Junior B manager and Alex Russell of the U11 hurlers. They both win €50 each.
Josh Loxton of the U9 hurling panel was drawn out from all those who sold full cards and wins €100.
The U7 Hurlers have the distinction of being the team to have sold the most lines and win €150 towards their end of year team trip!
