Our U8 girls camogie team have been training extremely hard since the 25th of February with a session on a Saturday morning. The Saturday sessions have taken place on the new Astro at the arena and in the Arena which have both been a great success and allowed training to start earlier than previous years. We would like to thank all the hurling and camogie club members who have worked hard to deliver this fantastic new facility. Training has now increased to 2 sessions a week for the summer months, Wednesday evenings and Sat mornings. Large numbers of girls are turning up week on week for their training sessions and putting in hard work.

It was no surprise that a huge number of girls 30 in total attended their first GO Games blitz of the season. The match was hosted in the bridge at our main field on a lovely sunny Saturday morning. Teams travelled from Whitegate, Bodyke and Cratloe. The bridge fielded 6 teams of 5 girls against 2 teams from Bodyke, Cratloe and Whitegate. The Bridge girls put on a fantastic display of all the skills they had learnt over the last couple of months. We would like to thank the teams for travelling to play us, and we look forward to meeting them in the near future.

Thanks to the camogie club for providing treats for the 75 girls at the end of the mornings blitz. These great bunch of players will only go from strength to strength as the months and years progress.

Our next blitz will be held in Tulla on the 10th of June so the girls are looking forward to their next day out.
