The weather is reminiscent of 1995 and what a summer of hurling we had that year and what a time for our club as we had 4 players involved in Clares historic breakthrough - Davy Fitzgerald, Michael O'Halloran, Christy & John Chaplin.

Roll on 28 years and hurling is the main subject of conversation in the village with a Munster Senior hurling final to look forward to against Limerick with 2 of our boys Seadhna Morey and Cathal Malone in action on Sunday week.

First up however is the big one - the turn of the Clare Minors who face Galway this coming Sunday in Semple Stadium Thurles - We will have more previews in the build up to this game as the week goes on but for now we are encouraging all residents of the parish to get your colours out in support for our 2 boys Mark Sheedy and Matthew O'Halloran and all the Clare boys in their quest for glory.

Lets get the Banner Bangers out of the garage and give them a fresh coat of saffron and blue, comb the old wigs, cover the village with flags and bunting and get the atmosphere building for the 2 massive weekends ahead.
