On Sat 1st July, 13 girls from our U6 group made their way to Clooney-Quin for their first blitz of the year.

For a handful of girls, this was their first time playing a match. The excitement could be felt as they headed onto the pitch. Each team played 3 matches, 6 minutes a side.

Some of the girls kept a close eye on the score, one was overheard saying she felt the bridge were nearly 200 points up at half time!! It ended in a draw for both teams, which resulted in ice-cream all round before heading home.

Thanks to Clooney for hosting us, we look forward to them visiting us in Sixmilebridge over the summer.
