On Wednesday this week our U11 (2021 Born) hurlers headed for Semple Stadium to take part in the Munster Hurling blitz which sees provincial stadiums opened up to give underage players the experience of playing in large stadiums.

In 2023 our boys have been very lucky to have played in Cusack Park, Gaelic Grounds and now the finest surface of all in Tom Semples Field in Thurles which has seen the greatest hurlers in action over the years.

An early start had the boys on the road for 8AM - We played 3 competitive games against games against Latin Cullen (Tipperary), Holycross/Ballycahill (Tipperary) and St. Josephs Doorabarefield (Clare).

Following the games the boys got a stadium tour from Tipp hurler Brian O'Meara. A big thank you to all the parents who drove down wo support the boys and to Mikey and Ultan who managed the team on the day taking time off work to be there.

The 2012 boys will be moving to U12 now while the 2013 boys will be at U10 where a number of blitzes for each grade takes place in September. Our U11s will be bringing th U10/11 group back together for a few occasions with a number of tournaments coming up in Cork and Limerick.
