The U8 girls have been very busy recently. On Saturday morning, 12th Aug, they travelled to Clooney Quin to play in the 4th GO Games blitz along with Tubber. Once again, the U8 girls had to brave the elements of the Irish summer when the rain started coming down heavy. But no one complained, and they all got stuck in and played some great Camogie, displaying all the skills they have been practising in training. We played 3 14 minute matches and had 3 teams of 8 girls.

Monday 14th saw the start of Cul Camp where a large number of girls had signed up for 4 hours a day of hurling for 5 days. Even though they were exhausted 20 girls travelled to Ballyea on the Wednesday evening to play 3 x 12 minute matches. On this occasion the weather was on our side and once again we saw all the girls well tuned in and working really hard. Thanks to all the cul camp coaches where the extra training and fresh faces seemed to bring the girls onto another level.

Thanks to Clooney Quin and Ballyea for hosting us and running off a well organized event. The girls look forward to their next blitz, where hopefully, conditions will have improved drastically.

Training continues for the girls every Wednesday & Saturday.
