The Bridge boys faced off this week in the Munster Interfirm Hurling Championship with Caimin Morey on the Regeneron team and Brian Carey and Evan McInerney in the Atlantic Aviation team - Bragging rights to Caimin this time but they may meet again in this competition before the season is over.
Regeneron (Limerick) 4-15
Atlantic Aviation (Clare) 2-13
Regeneron put in an impressive performance to defeat Atlantic Aviation at Clarecastle on Tuesday night.
Craig Chaplin scored an early goal for Regeneron but Atlantic drew level when a free from Brian Carey ended up in the net.
Regeneron came close to getting a second goal when Shane Punch was denied by a good save from Jerry Forrest.
The sides were still level after 24 minuets but Regeneron finished the half strong with 3 points from Punch and another from Gearoid Loughnane to open up a 4 point lead at the break.
Goals from Punch and Gary Hogan inside the first 10 minutes of the second half opened up a lead that Atlantic were unable to close as Regeneron ran out deserving winners on the night.
