The club will be running a Cardiac Responder and sports injury First Aid course on Saturday 20th May next at 6am in the Clubhouse. Breakfast will be served at Noon.
The course is being aimed at club members and especially those involved with teams. It is very important that the club increases the number of trained First aiders to deal with any potential injuries that may arise on the pitch.
The course will be given by club man Martin Conlon who is fully Fetac certified and registered. Each participant will receive their certification and manual and the qualification lasts for 3 years before a short refresher course is required for renewal of the qualification.
The cost of the course will be covered by the club and we would encourage as many as possible to take up this offer of gaining a valuable skill which could be vital at home or on the hurling pitch or indeed anywhere.
Please contact chairman Paddy Meehan +353 (86) 850 6711 or Secretary John McNamara (087) 250 7829 or Martin Conlon (087) 656 8339 to confirm your interest as numbers are required so as to be able to order materials and register participants with PHECC.
All nAmes to be submitted by 9th May 2017. It is now mandatory for each team to have at least one person trained in this area.
