Clare GAA has submitted plans for a major enhancement of the Caherlohan Centre of Excellence.
The new proposal involves a new full length all-weather pitch, a new gym and dressing rooms, ball wall and floodlights at the Tulla venue.
The redevelopment would see the construction of a 1-2 storey extension to the existing Clare GAA Centre of Excellence building, to accommodate new dressing rooms, a gym, dining and administrative areas.
For on the field matters, 3 new full length playing pitches are proposed, one of which would be an all-weather playing pitch served by six new 25-metre floodlights.

The construction of a new hurling ‘ball-wall’ is also proposed adjacent to the planned all-weather synthetic playing pitch, along with the installation of 12 no 25 metre high floodlights to serve two existing pitches.
A new covered spectator stand is proposed to serve Pitch 3, along with the provision of a dedicated area to the north of the existing centre of excellence building to be used as an occasional farmers/local market.
Ancillary site works include the resurfacing of car parking areas, ball-stop netting serving each of the proposed pitches, public allotments and sensory garden areas.
