Sixmilebridge 2-19 Newmarket-on-Fergus 2-8
The 'Bridge travelled to Fr. Murphy Park in Newmarket on Friday evening to face the reigning cup champions Newmarket in the 1/4 of the Clare Cup.
Shane Golden opened the scoring for the Bridge with a point but the home side responded with a goal from Eanna Crimmins. Attacking wing back had the ball in the Newmarket net when he shot from distance to level the tie before Crimmins had his second goal to give Newmarket a 2 point lead at hal time.
