It was a week of mixed luck for our hurlers and camogie players this week in Cusack Park for the Cumann na mBunscoil finals.
Pride of place goes to the hurlers and camogie players of Clonmoney who completed the double in hurling and camogie in the last 2 finals today.

Clonmoney crowned hurling Champions
It may have been the last final of the 2 days but what a game we had in the division 3 game between Crusheen and Clonmoney. This is the third meeting of these sides and on each occasion Clonmoney have come out on top by a single score so the large crowd in attendance were expecting the same today.
At half time Clonmoney lead by 1-04 to 1-03 before running out 2-12 to 2-10 winners. The team was captained by our own Matthew Murphy who put in a great shift from play and frees and Tom McHugh from our U11 squad was also part of the panel. A big well done to the boys who had an unforgettable year winning the INTO Hurling 7s, Schools football, Schools Soccer (Clare & Munster) and the crown in the jewel the Cumann na mBunscoil hurling final today. Thanks to their coaches Mr. Littleton, Mr. Guilfoyle and Mr. McCormack for nurturing the love of hurling with the boys.

Clonmoney win Division 2 Camogie Title
In the Camogie final Emer Gavin was soundness personified in goals and the panel also included Caoimhe McHugh and Ella Fitzpatrick from the 'Bridge. The girls defeated Inagh/Cloonaha in the division 2 final and are promoted to division 1 for 2026.Well done to the teachers who coached the team namely Ms. Halpin and Mr. Barry for all their time and effort.

Hard luck to Sixmilebridge NS who were defeated by Barefield NS on Wednesday in the Academy final. A big thanks to Mr. Heagney, Mr. Lynch and Mr. Minogue for the great work they put into preparing the team.

Kilmurry lost out to Lakyle/Iniscealtra today. A big thanks to Mr. Donnellan and Mr. Clohessy for the great work they put into preparing the team.

St. Senans which were captained by Alex Russell lost to St. Conaires in the Shannon derby. Thanks to coaches Kate Lynch and  Jamie O'Sullivan for all the work in preparing the boys.

That's it for another year of Schools hurling and Camogie - Best wishes to all the boys and girls moving onto secondary schools and enjoy the last few weeks of Primary school.
