As the evenings get shorter and the weather wetter it usually signals that out underage hurling season is coming to an end - thankfully plans are in place to address this in the future with our new hurling arena which will mean our hurlers of the future can practice their skills all year round.
The club are undertaking a fundraising festival weekend on December 1st - December 3rd and its important we all get behind the venture to ensure this state of the art project can commence. The launch night for the main event "Strictly Come Dancing" is next Friday night so please come along for a great night of fun with the dance cuples being announced. Plenty of players and coaches are involved so you will all have some one to support.
Back on the field of play our Bridge Bucks Academy have a busy weekend ahead -
U6 Bucks - The Bridge boys will cross the border into Limerick for our now yearly trip to play Monaleen.Hard to believe its 12 months since our last trip when Lieutenant Colonel Conlon led his charges with the following battle cry - Throw back to last years preview

U8 Bucks
Saturday morning at 10AM will see St. Josephs Doora Barefield, Ahane (Limerick) and Newtownshandrum (Cork) visit O'Garney Park. 12 teams will take part across 6 pitches starting at 10AM so anyone passing please call in and see our stars of the tomorrow. All players are asked to bring a contribution (Cake, Buns, Etc.) towards the catering for the travelling teams.
U10 Hurlers
The famed James Stephens club, home to the great Brian Cody will host our U10 team this Saturday as part of their annual blitz. The team will travel by coach to Kilkenny for what promises to be a festival of hurling.
Note: All players are requested to wear club gear when representing the club including Club coloured Shorts and Sox as well as Clare/Sixmilebridge jerseys if possible.
Finally, best of luck to our Senior team on Sunday in the Semi final of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship when they play Newmarket in Cusack Park at 4PM.
A number of the players are involved in coaching with our academy and we encourage all players to tog out in their Bridge colours and support the team on Sunday.
